WHAT WE DO
Our youngest learners, the Creative Leader are well on their way to a lifetime of learning. Infants, as young as 6 weeks old, are immersed with stimulating, hands-on play. La O’wn is a place for love, growth, discovery and learning. Each activity is designed to assist your baby in achieving developmental milestones, while having fun at the same time.
La O’wn knows the importance of nurturing when it comes to babies. Your baby will enjoy singing, dancing, reading, cuddling, exploring the world of foreign languages as well as baby sign language and physical development in our safe baby classroom.
Art
Art with infants is all about sensory exploration. Teachers allow children to explore art by using non-toxic materials such as paints, stem pads, and babblers. Art in the Creative Leaders class also provides wonderful keepsakes for the parents through seasonal theme projects.
Math
Creative leaders explore math through play. Stacking blocks while counting begins the educational process of understanding math. The teachers introduce sizing, shapes, and colors thru play and learn.
Reading
Throughout the day, teachers are always reading to our students. Just like at home, reading to our students has become a special time of exploration through the written word. Early reading to our children lays the foundation for future success.
Music and Movements
Creative Leaders enjoy rhythmic music throughout the day. Different style of music is played such as classical, nursery songs and some upbeat pieces of music as well.
Outdoor Play
When the weather is appropriate, children will play outside on their playground. Our playground is equipped with many infant plays and is also AstroTurf with fall impact absorbency up to 6 ft.
